Shazam 2 Director Confirms Fury of the Gods Still in Production

People have been excited about Shazam: Fury of the Gods after there were reports that the sequel has wrapped filming. However, David F. Sandberg reveals otherwise. The director of the DC Extended Universe flick has revealed that he is still hard at work on the project but will be done very soon.

Most of the Shazam 2 cast members have been celebrating as they completed filming on the movie. In addition to that, Sandberg himself has teased that he is almost done shooting the DCEU sequel. This, in turn, has led to assumptions that Fury of the Gods has finally wrapped production.

One fan has decided to post about the Shazam 2 production wrap. Sandberg found the post and retweeted it with a revelation of his own. Check it out below.

"Reading this while sitting on set getting ready to shoot," Sandberg wrote. "Several of the actors have been wrapped though as we're close to being done."

It's disappointing to know that the movie isn't done just yet. However, Sandberg's post is also reassuring since it means that he is making sure everything is perfect before wrapping up production. Hopefully, we'll get a positive update from the filmmaker soon.

Shazam: Fury of the Gods will bring back Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer, Faithe Herman, Grace Fulton, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Meagan Good, Ross Butler, D.J. Cotrona, and Djimon Hounsou. New cast members include Rachel Zegler, Helen Mirren, and Lucy Liu. The sequel is scheduled for release on June 2, 2023.
