Shazam 2 Reportedly Bringing Back Peacemaker Character

WARNING: This article contains potential spoilers about the post-credits scenes of Shazam! Fury of the Gods. Read at your own risk.

In just a couple of months, we're going to witness Shazam's next journey in the upcoming DC film Shazam! Fury of the Gods with Zachary Levi back on the cape. It still remains to be seen whether the actor will continue on the new DCU under James Gunn and Peter Safran or it will mark his last time in the role.

As fans are speculating about the events of the film and the aftermath of the massive shakeup that is happening in the DCU, a new report from Chippu gave some alleged details about the post-credits scenes of Shazam! Fury of the Gods and potentially gives us an idea about the character's future after the sequel.

According to the report, the first post-credits scene will feature Shazam being recruited into the Justice Society of America and the hero thought that he will be part of the Justice League. During the scene, he is personally recruited by The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker's Emilia Harcourt with Jennifer Holland reprising the role.

If this report ends up being true, it will be Holland's second consecutive appearance in a DC film after making an appearance recently in Black Adam where she showed up for one scene.

They also claimed that the second post-credits scene will feature the return of Mark Strong's Doctor Sivana, the villain of the first film. This one will serve as a follow-up to the previous film's post-credits scene where he is seen teaming up with Mr. Brain, who is now going to be in his dangerous version.

So far, none of the people involved in the making of the sequel has confirmed any of these details so we have to take it with a grain of salt. However, we do know that the film will have post-credits scenes so there is a likelihood that this ends up being true.

Whether this gets followed up on the new DCU or not, it is interesting to hear that the upcoming film will have bigger tie-ins to the other parts of the DCEU which shows that they are setting up the character to have a bigger role in the franchise moving forward.

However, with all the shakeup that is happening and Gunn and Safran still silent about their plans, it is hard to tell whether they will have some impact on the future of the franchise. Nevertheless, it is an exciting potential tease about what we might see in the future.
