Shadows House released its penultimate episode this week and things look exciting! Sadly, the anime is now diverging a bit from the ongoing manga (Trivia: Shomato had to rewrite parts of the story to fit content neatly into one season, and will have to do the same if Season 2 comes up) which might worry some fans. Let's hope this isn't turning into The Promised Neverland Season 2.

Episode 12 reveals that Emilyco was indeed abducted by Edward. Kate and the other pairs concoct a plan for Kate to infiltrate the Grandfather's building dressed as a faceless doll.
Meanwhile, Lou and Ricky, the living dolls who are still brainwashed by drinking the Lord Grandfather's coffee come to their senses through contact with their masters, who speak their names and talk to them kindly, revealing that the difficult debut brought them all closer and will probably thwart the adult Shadows' plan to make them merge.
Emilyco refuses to reveal information about her Shadow master until Kate manages to locate her using her soot powers. Unfortunately, they are caught by Edward, ending the episode in a cliffhanger.
