With interest in the series increasing thanks to the anime’s second season, Seven Seas Entertainment announced that Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation audiobooks will be released in English.

The upcoming audiobook release will begin with the first volume which will be released in the US in two months, giving fans of the anime an even better reason to explore the hit anime’s source material.

Though the light novel series has been published in English for quite some time now, an audiobook release is a great way to reach more fans, especially for those who might be too busy to read a book.

Every season, lots of isekai anime are released. And while a lot of them are your typical power fantasy shows without much substance, Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation is a different take on the genre.

Instead of being a comedic take on isekai like KonoSuba though, Mushoku Tensei is unique as it features a protagonist that is reborn as an infant instead of as himself or as a powerful warrior.

Specifically, the protagonist is reborn as Rudeus Greyrat, and he vows to make the most of his new life in this magical new world.

Starting as an infant is one thing, but what makes the series unique is that it follows Rudeus over a long period.

While Season 1 followed his childhood, the new season is chronicling his adolescent days.

Though it may not be as hyped as the big Summer 23 show Jujutsu Kaisen, it’s still fair to say that Mushoku Tensei Season 2 is one of the highlights of the season.

For those who can’t get enough of the series, Seven Seas Entertainment revealed that the Mushoku Tensei light novel series will get audiobook releases which are narrated by Cliff Kurt.

The audiobook version will begin with Volume 1, which will be released in the US this September.

For those who have seen the anime, this volume covers the first season’s initial episodes.

This release is also significant for being the first scheduled launch in Seven Seas’ Siren audiobook imprint. This should mean we’ll get more audiobook releases in the coming months.

While there’s no word yet on a specific release date for the first volume’s audiobook, it is now available for pre-order on BookWalker, Nook, and Chirp.
