Sequids are a race of parasitic aliens that are capable of destroying entire worlds. These alien lifeforms look like pink squid with three tentacles instead of two. They also possess heads that resemble brains.

Their origins are unknown. But essentially, they are Martian parasites.

Unlike other alien life forms that are part of a hive, Sequids do not have a Queen that controls them. Instead, the Sequid who is able to attach itself to its host takes full charge of the actions of the other Sequids.

The Sequids in Invincible season 2 part 2 want to take over Earth. Based on the comics, they have been waiting for the opportunity to launch their attack and bring chaos to the planet.

Thanks to their shapeshifting capabilities, the Sequids are unable to take control of the Martians. As a result, they have become weak and scattered.

But when a team of astronauts from Earth came to Mars, the Sequids found them easy prey.

The astronauts were captured by the Martians and brought to their Emperor. Since the Emperor knew that the Sequids could use them to invade the planet, he ordered their execution.

This is where Invincible has stepped in to save the astronauts. Unfortunately, one of the astronauts, Rus Livingston, had been taken over by a Martian shapeshifter.

Meanwhile, the real Livingston had already been claimed by the Sequids and used for their Martian invasion.

After their attack, they boarded a ship bound for Earth.

In one of the volumes of the comic book series, the heroes in the Invincible franchise teamed up to stop the aliens. Because of their ability to take over one's mind, the Sequids posed a threat to the heroes.

They were also considered more powerful than the Viltrumites because the Sequids took over innocent individuals. Meanwhile, the Viltrumites were a direct threat to the heroes.

So even though the Sequids were not necessarily stronger, they were harder to fight against.
