The long wait is over as Seo Ye Ji's new drama Eve confirms its debut schedule.

The South Korean beauty is officially returning to K-dramaland with the upcoming drama series.

Seo Ye Ji's New Drama Eve Airs on May

According to Osen, tvN announced that Eve is set to broadcast in May following the finale of Lee Kwang Soo's K-drama The Killer's Shopping List.

It means that Seo Ye Ji's new drama will be the latest Wednesday and Thursday series under tvN.

Helmed by Dinner Mate and Love for a Thousand More director Park Bong Sub and penned by Birth of a Beauty and One Well-Raised Daughter screenwriter Yoon Young Mi, Eve follows the story of the country's biggest divorce suit amounting to 2 trillion won or around $1.7 billion US.

Meet the Cast of Eve

In the forthcoming romance series, Seo Ye Ji plays Lee Ra El, a revenge-driven woman and the subject of the billion-dollar divorce case.

As cited by Soompi, the casting team chose the It's Okay to Not Be Okay star for her "solid acting skills," noting that the actress has a "strong image and the energy to immerse herself to pull off Lee Ra El."

Meanwhile, Park Byung Eun took the role of Kang Yoon Gyeom, the CEO of the top financial corporate group.

According to the production team, they are looking for someone who is around their 40s and possesses intelligence and appeal "while also having a look that can portray the character's double-sidedness

Moreover, Park Byung Eun exudes a perfect image of someone "that crosses between good and evil."

Apart from the duo, the lead stars of Eve include Lee Sang Yeob as Seo Eun Pyung, the youngest member of the National Assembly, and will cross paths with Lee Ra El.

Lastly, joining as one of the main cast is Yoo Sun as Han So Ra, the only daughter of a powerful politician and someone who is obsessed with her husband.

While K-drama fans rejoice for Seo Ye Ji's comeback, Eve is her follow-up project after the mega-hit series It's Okay to Not Be Okay with Kim Soo Hyun and Oh Jung Se and her 2021 thriller mystery film Recalled.

To recall, the 32-year-old actress went on a one-year hiatus after being involved in a massive controversy that almost tainted her career.

Seo Ye Ji's scandal includes being criticized for manipulating her then-boyfriend Kim Jung Hun, causing him to drop out from the movie Time with co-star Seohyun from Girls' Generation.
