Four years later, Dispatch exposed an exchange of personal messages between Seo Ye Ji and Kim Jung Hyun, forbidding then-boyfriend for doing "skinship" or an "intimate non-sexual contact" with his co-star, Seohyun.
With this, she was accused of manipulating the actor throughout his filming of Time, which eventually prompted him to withdraw. At the time, he mentioned that it was due to his health reasons.
Ten months after the controversy sparked, Seo Ye Ji released a public apology.
As obtained by Soompi, the actress released a statement through her agency, GOLD Medalist, where she expressed her sincere apology "for making many people uncomfortable" due to her shortcomings and "for the fact that I have disappointed you greatly."

According to AllKpop, a blind item released by media outlet Newsen contained a scandalous rumor involving a female celebrity.
The said actress was known for physically and mentally "dominating and controlling her celebrity boyfriends."
Following this, rumor sparked that the alleged celebrity boyfriend are Kim Jung Hyun, TVXQ's Yunho and Kim Soo Hyun.
It seems like their romantic chemistry has transpired even off-screen following these alleged accusations; unfortunately, there's no proof whether the pair really dated and did not address the issue involving their rumored romance.
