All hail to the queen as Seo Ye Ji is returning with a new revenge series Eve.
After her almost two-year hiatus and not to mention the massive controversy she faced in 2021, finally, fans are set to witness her comeback to the small screen.
To recall, this will be the actress' follow-up project after the mega-hit Kdrama It's Okay to Not be Okay with Kim Soo Hyun in 2020.
Now, with tvN formally announcing the target release of the series, here's everything we know so far about Seo Ye Ji's new drama.
Packed with mystery, revenge and romance, Eve is garnering the public's attention due to its fresh cast lineup and unique storyline.
Penned by Yoon Young Mi, the screenwriter behind The Birth of a Beauty, The Good Witch and Bride of the Sun, it focuses on a 2 trillion won or 1.6 billion dollars lawsuit that rocked the whole country. For one, the case involved an influential person.
Meet the Cast
In November 2021, tvN announced the official cast for Eve. After months of discussion, the broadcast network confirmed that the 31-year-old-actress would headline the upcoming K-drama, as noted by Soompi.
Completing the lead stars are Park Byung Eun, Lee Sang Yeob and Yoo Sun.
The surprising news was amid her controversy involving her then-boyfriend Kim Jung Hyun and the alleged bullying issue.
For her comeback drama, the 31-year-old star is set to play Lee Ra El, the focus of the billion-dollar lawsuit. She is described as a "dangerous flower" whose fatal charm shines through.
Seo Ye Ji's on-screen husband will be Park Byung Eun, who took on the role of Kang Yoon Gyeom, a big shot CEO of a top-tier financial company.
As the drama progresses, Lee Ra El is set to meet human rights lawyer Seo Eun Pyung, played by On the Verge of Insanity star Lee Sang Yeob. He is willing to risk everything when he meets Lee Ra El.
Another cast member joining Eve is Yoo Sun from Move to Heaven; she will act as chaebol's daughter Han So Ra, who exudes confidence but is a total opposite on the inside.
