Selena Gomez and Tyga recently sparked rumors that they could be dating. The A-listers were photographed leaving The Nice Day hotspot separately on Tuesday night. But some of their fans were still convinced that they could be an item.
Selena Gomez, Tyga Are Not Dating
However, Hollywood Life confirmed that Selena Gomez and Tyga are nothing more than friends. In fact, they weren’t the only two people at The Nice Day hotspot. Gomez was with her pals and Tyga was also with his friends. And it just so happened that they were in the same venue at the same time.
At one point, Gomez and Tyga decided to join their tables because they are actually good friends. In fact, the rapper attended Gomez’s 30th birthday bash in Malibu last month.

Selena Gomez, Tyga Allegedly Hung Out Privately At A Los Angeles Hotspot
Prior to the confirmation that Gomez and Tyga are just friends, TMZ suggested that there could be something going on between the two. The publication claimed that Gomez arrived at the venue while Tyga was already inside. And the security team at The Nice Day did not allow other guests to enter while Gomez and Tyga were there.
The publication also revealed that Gomez and Tyga were allowed to hang out inside the venue until way past the closing time at 2 a.m.
“It's unclear what, if anything, is happening between Selena and Tyga ... but the pairing is interesting. We haven't known Selena to date, anyone, publicly in a long time,” they said.
But a few hours after their original story was published, TMZ gave an update and said that Gomez and Tyga weren’t dating.
Selena Gomez Is Reportedly More Open To Love At 30
Last month, a source told Entertainment Tonight that Gomez is more open to love now that she’s 30. However, the “Lose You to Love Me” singer is also very much focused on herself.
“Selena isn't dating anyone specific at this time. She is more open to love, but she is also very much focused on herself and her work right now. She's in a very healthy place. She is feeling fantastic and very mentally, physically, and emotionally healthy. When she is ready for a true partner, she wants someone who is trustworthy, respectful, honest—with themselves and to others, real, supportive, accepting, nice, thoughtful, funny and someone that's not in it for the fame or attention,” the source said.
While speaking with WWD’s Beauty Inc. last year, Gomez revealed that she has reached a point in her life when she no longer cares about what other people think. She also said that as she got older, she learned to be happier with who she really is.
“I think of how many years I wasted just caring so much about what people thought, and it was just suffocating. And I think I wasted time doing that. What I love so far about getting older is that I’m starting to just really be happy with who I am, know what I want, and know what I don’t want,” she said.
