There are already a number of Marvel series coming to Disney+, along with some exciting movies that are already set for release as well as some in development. However, it seems like a new one is coming, focusing on a team of powerful individuals.
According to GWW, a Secret Warriors project is in early development at Marvel Studios. However, it's currently unclear whether it's a Disney+ series or a theatrical film. That said, the outlet is leaning more towards a show, which seems to be a perfect project for the streaming service.
As expected, the outlet says Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige is set to produce the project. Allegedly, the hunt is on for a writer as well. Aside from that, no further details were provided, but this seems to be an exciting project.
As some fans may already know, there have already been a few different versions of the Secret Warriors, including one where it's based on SHIELD characters like Nick Fury, Quake, Phobos, Yo Yo Rodriguez, Hellfire, Sebastian Druid, and Stonewall. There was also an animated series on Disney XD, which featured the likes of Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, Patriot, Squirrel Girl, America Chavez, and Inferno.
It remains to be seen which group will be featured on the rumored project. But as for whether or not its a feature or a series, as the outlet suggests, this is likely a Disney+ show, which is a perfect way for these heroes to be introduced to the MCU.
