One of the many MCU shows that are currently in the works is Secret Invasion which will star Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn's Talos as they navigate the Skrulls who have infiltrated all aspects of life on Earth. Filming is still underway in London and there have been several set photos that are currently surfacing online which hint at what we might see in the series. Now, another one is making rounds that tease the potential appearance of a beloved Avenger.
A new set photo from Secret Invasion is currently surfacing online which shows a newspaper featuring Don Cheadle's James Rhodey shaking hands with US President Ritson, who are apparently in London for emergency talks. It looks like Rhodey is there as one of his advisors during the trip. You can check the photo below from the Secret Invasion News Twitter account:
Based on this newspaper prop, it looks like it is highly likely that Cheadle himself will be making an appearance in the series given that his character is in London, where the series is also set at. It is also reported that the series will be more like a political thriller and revolve around the government so it makes sense for Rhodey to appear in the series alongside the president.
If Cheadle is confirmed to be making an appearance in the series, it would be his second one post-Endgame as he appeared for a few minutes during the first episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. He is also set to start in his own series Armor Wars which will reportedly start filming this year. It is very interesting to see what Rhodey might contribute to the overall story of the series and if he will interact with Nick Fury and Talos at some point to probably assist them on their mission.
There's a lot of anticipation right now to Secret Invasion as it will mark the next appearance of Jackson, Mendelsohn, and Cobie Smulders in the MCU reprising their respective roles. They are joined by franchise newcomers Kingsley Ben-Adir, Emilia Clarke, Olivia Colman, Carmen Ejogo, Killian Scott, and Christopher McDonald.

Secret Invasion is currently set to be released on Disney+ later this year.
