Season 4 Of Stranger Things May Be Moving Out Of Hawkins

Hawkins, Indiana has always been the home of Stranger Things, but not that the epic science fiction horror series is gearing up to release its fourth season on Netflix, it seems like the show is ready to leave the sleepy town behind.

According to a report by Deadline, production on Stranger Things season 4 is going to be moving from its original location in Atlanta to New Mexico. A "significant portion of the next batch of episodes will be filmed in the state, though Netflix has remained quiet about what scenes are going to be shoot in the new location.

Knowing that Stranger Things has always been shooting in Atlanta, this move to New Mexico seems to indicate that a portion of the series is going to take place in a brand new city. This news shouldn't really come as a surprise to fans. The last batch of episodes of Stranger Things ended with the Byers family and Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) leaving Hawkins to live in another city. Perhaps this new location is where the Byers and Eleven have decided to settle in.

The last season of the series also seemed to indicate a bigger scope for the upside-down. Sure, Eleven might have closed the portal to the upside-down, but it seems like the story's just going to get bigger in season 4 of Stranger Things.
