Scarlett Johansson Teases her MCU Future After Black Widow

It's no secret that Black Widow is expected to be Natasha Romanoff's last Marvel Cinematic Universe outing. But is it possible that we'll see more of Scarlett Johansson in the MCU? The Avengers: Infinity War star may have teased at more projects in the future.

Fans were understandably delighted when Black Widow was announced back in 2017. After all, it meant we would get to see more of Natasha although the character was killed off in Infinity War. On the other hand, it also seems like the standalone film would be the last one for Nat.

Johansson spoke to Total Film where she admitted that she is sad about saying goodbye to the MCU.

"It's definitely bittersweet because I love my Marvel family," Johansson said. She added that she isn't quite sure if she wants to stop seeing the people she had worked with for such a long time.

"I'm never going to be ready to not be a part of it. They'll always be family. I'll never feel ready to not be in it because I hate to feel like I'm missing out on stuff with them," Johansson said. Interestingly, she then teased that she wouldn't turn down the chance to return.

"Who knows? Maybe at some point, we'll have some opportunity to collaborate in some other kind of way," Johansson said.

We're loving the idea that we could still see Nat in the MCU again in the future, even if it might be in flashback sequences. In the meantime, we get to see her in action next month.

Black Widow will premiere in theaters and on Disney+ through Premier Access on July 9, 2021.
