Mitsuha Yamano is an orphan who lost her family due to a tragic incident. She tried to live a normal life until she fell off a cliff and was transported to a medieval world.

In this world, she encountered wolves and discovered that she can actually travel back to Earth and go back to the medieval world whenever she wishes to.

With this newfound ability, she decides to earn money by traveling between the two worlds and fighting wolves using her handguns.
