Sasha Calle's Supergirl Will Reportedly Replace Superman as DCEU's Last Survivor of Krypton

For some time now, there have been rumors that The Flash will end up rebooting the DCEU which would lead to a lot of changes for some of the characters that have been part of the universe. A lot of fans have been wondering for a long time now if Henry Cavill's Superman will still be part of the DCEU in the future and it looks like we finally have the answer on that.

ScreenGeek has reported that they've heard from their sources that Sasha Calle's Supergirl will replace Henry Cavill's Superman as DCEU's last survivor of Krypton. In the new rebooted timeline which is speculated to happen during the events of The Flash, General Zod kills Cavill's Superman as a baby leading to Kara Danvers becoming Earth's hero from Krypton.

We do have to take note that this report didn't come from the major trades nor confirmed by Warner Bros. and DC so we have to take this with a grain of salt. However, there have been speculations for some time now regarding Cavill's doomed fate in the DCEU and rumors from alleged leaks that Calle's Supergirl is indeed going to take over the Man of Steel's spot in the DCEU.

There is an argument that you can make that this rumor might be true since we haven't heard much official news that Cavill's Superman is going to make his return to the DCEU soon and the more that he disappears, the more that is becoming likelier that he won't be making a comeback especially now that the actor is busy with multiple projects. A similar situation will also happen to Ben Affleck's Batman in The Flash, which is expected to be his final turn as the hero.

Of course, it is disappointing to hear that Cavill might no longer play Superman in the future as his portrayal of the hero has become beloved and he only played the character in a few films. We shall just wait and see once we finally get to watch The Flash if Supergirl is indeed going to be the new last survivor of Krypton and if Cavill will ever have a future again in the future. All we can do right now is speculate as we're waiting for the answers.
