The Eminence in Shadow’s first season already had an impressive cast, but now, the second season is about to become even more star-studded. Recently, The Eminence in Shadow revealed that iconic VA Saori Hayami is joining Season 2 as a new villain.
Along with Hayami, the show also features another notable VA. The second season also got a new trailer that previews the next opening theme.
New Eminence in Shadow Trailer Previews Season 2 Opening Theme
The Eminence in Shadow is an isekai anime that premiered in October 2022.
While it might have been overshadowed by other Fall 22 hits like Chainsaw Man and Bocchi the Rock!, the show continued to gain traction up to its finale in Winter 23.
It may be seen by some as just another isekai, but The Eminence in Shadow proved to be one of the biggest recent isekai hits. This is proven by the fact that it was quickly renewed for a second season after the first.
To further hype up the next season’s release, the show got a brand-new trailer, which you can watch here:
For this new season, Eminence once again tapped the music duo OxT for the new opening titled grayscale dominator.
Aside from The Eminence in Shadow Season 1's opening, OxT also performed songs for shows like Overlord, SSSS.Gridman, and Ace of Diamond.
The trailer also showed off the new characters who are voiced by two notable anime VAs.

Saori Hayami and Miku Ito Join The Eminence in Shadow Season 2 Cast
The first of the two new VAs is Saori Hayami, who voices the new villain Elisabeth – the founder of vampires who is also known as the “Queen of Blood.”
It’s fair to say that Hayami is one of the most well-known anime VAs right now. After all, she is the voice of iconic characters like Yor Forger in Spy x Family, Shinobu Kocho in Demon Slayer, and Yukino Yukinoshita in OreGairu.
Also joining the voice cast is Miku Ito as “559.” Ito is another popular VA whom fans may know as the voice of Miku Nakano in The Quintessential Quintuplets and Kokoro Tsurumaki in BanG Dream!
The Eminence in Shadow Season 2 will be released on October 4, 2023, and it will consist of 12 episodes.
Outside Japan, it’s expected that the new season will be streamed on HIDIVE.
