Sandra Bullock Will Produce and Possibly Star in 'Reborn', The First Netflix/Millarworld Film

Coming off the surprise success of Bird Box, it looks like Sandra Bullock is looking for her next big Netflix role and she may have found it. The renowned actress will produce Reborn, a movie based on a comic book from Mark Millar and Batman artist Greg Capullo. Interestingly enough, Bullock might star in the film as well if talks go well, which could be why she is producing it in the first place.

Bullock has yet to sign on for the role, though it would be interesting if she does. This would be the actresses' first comic book work, as Bullock has yet to star in a Marvel or DC movie, making this a fairly nice distinction. We can only assume that Mark Millar is over the moon in regards to this news.

The sci-fi fantasy comic series by Mark Millar and Greg Capullo tells the story of an eighty-year-old woman, Bonnie Black, who dies in a Manhattan hospital only to find herself reborn in the prime of life in the afterlife world of Adystria, a magical land of monsters and dragons where good and evil are waging an eternal war. There, she finds old friends and loved ones waiting, except the husband who died before her. Armed with a sword and partnered with her late father, she sets off through the battle-torn landscape on a quest to find out where he is.

Fans can find the graphic novel of Reborn in most comic and bookstores. Note that the series says Vol. 1, with a sequel to the comic likely planned for the future.
