Samuel L. Jackson May Have Confirmed Nick Fury's Return In Avengers: Endgame

The first trailer for Avengers: Endgame didn't feature any of the victims of Thanos' snap. However, there are speculations that Samuel L. Jackson has confirmed the return of Nick Fury in the highly anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel.

Fury only had a brief appearance in Avengers: Infinity War but he was part of a truly important scene. The post-credit sequence featured the former SHIELD leader rushing to contact someone before he turned into dust. It is then revealed that he had called Captain Marvel. But is it possible that Fury will be back in Endgame? Jackson's latest Instagram post may have been a hint.

Jackson didn't add a caption when he shared the Endgame trailer. Nevertheless, people immediately began speculating that the Captain Marvel star was sharing the trailer because he will be in it.

It's a hopeful idea that isn't exactly far-fetched. After all, Jackson has been confirmed to reprise his role as Fury in Spider-Man: Far From Home, a film that is expected to take place after Endgame. We're certainly hoping that Fury will be around to help acquaint the Avengers with Captain Marvel.

Fury's appearance in Captain Marvel will probably be the most different in the MCU. The famously eyepatched leader will still have both eyes and a full head of hair. The film's trailer has also revealed that the younger Fury is a cat lover who couldn't get enough of Carol Danvers' pet. We're certainly looking forward to seeing Jackson in his next Marvel movie.

Captain Marvel will premiere on March 8, 2019. Avengers: Endgame is scheduled for release on April 26, 2019.
