Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders Confirmed for Spider-Man: Far from Home

Spider-Man: Homecoming may be a Sony movie, but it sure did have some heavy involvement from Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man. News has it that two more Marvel heavyweights are coming to the sequel Far from Home, and those are Agent Maria Hill and Nick Fury.

Vulture confirms that Samuel L. Jackson (Fury) and Cobie Smulders (Hill) will both make an appearance in the Spidey sequel. It has actually been dropped before by cast member Numan Acar that Smulders will be working on the movie; now we have confirmation that Nick is going to be there as well.

With RDJ having no mention for the production, a lot of people are starting to think that this means that he'll die come Avengers 4. Then again, I think every hero exit in the MCU shouldn't really mean death. I'd be fine if Steve Rogers was the one who got to sacrifice his life. Give Tony Stark and Thor time to live out their lives outside of the Avengers.

For now, a lot of things are being kept under wraps for the upcoming Marvel projects. No doubt Far from Home will spoil whatever happens in the next Avengers movie. With the release dates so close, though, I think we'll get a Far from Home trailer before Avengers 4 hits theaters.

Spider-Man: Far from Home is expected to hit theaters July 5, 2019.
