Avengers: Infinity War Directors on Spider-Man Actor Tom Holland’s Big, Spoilery Mouth

Marvel star Tom Holland has a problem keeping his mouth shut. Often times the Marvel Cinematic Universe's new Spider-Man actor lets out spoilers about the movie's that he's in, causing problems for the big wigs at Marvel Studios that are trying to make sure that they keep the secrets of their upcoming films intact until the movies' release date.

Speaking in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Avengers: Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo open up about Holland's problem with secrets, saying that they actually decided to pair the British actor with Doctor Strange star Benedict Cumberbatch during the film's press tour to keep him on track.

"Benedict is a great partner for him on the press tour because Benedict is very good at dancing around spoilers and monitoring Tom Holland," Joe told the publication.

"That's hard work," Anthony admitted.

Of course, while Holland has a pretty big mouth, the directors find it difficult to stay mad at the young Marvel actor.

"What are you gonna do?" Joe said, laughing. "He's the nicest guy in the world, so you can never be punitive toward Tom Holland."

Holland is a pretty nice guy, and he never really takes himself too seriously. Knowing that he has a reputation for spoiling his films, Holland also makes fun of fans by revealing "spoilers" as a joke. Marvel's also been taking advantage of his spoilery attitude, going along for the ride and giving fans a few winks at their future projects like Spider-Man: Far From Home.

"There are certain logistics of the way these movies are made that meant that title would potentially be leaked in some way because it was going out into the world in various forms," Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige said. "So Mr. Holland took it upon himself to leak it for us.

Guess Marvel's just really making the best of the situation.

Avengers: Infinity War is currently available on digital HD and will be made available on Blu-Ray on August 4.
