Following the series finale of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, a new series from the galaxy far, far away is coming. Titled Star Wars: The Bad Batch, the show will follow the Clone Force 99 who were introduced in the first set of episodes of The Clone Wars' final season. Aside from taking on "daring mercenary missions" post-Clone War era, not much is known about the upcoming show. However, Star Wars voice actor Sam Witwer teases what's to come in the animated series.

"I will tell you it looks really, really good. It looks absolutely beautiful," the Star Wars veteran said during a recent Twitch stream. "The story…at least I know where the story begins in the first several episodes and I am very pleased because it's a little area of Star Wars that has not been often visited."

Witwer then teases the upcoming show's animation, comparing its quality to that of The Clone Wars. "It meant getting a lot of people back in there that had previously been at Lucasfilm and then had moved on when Clone Wars was canceled," he added. "So, in order to do Clone Wars, you needed to get those folks back."

"What I like is that they didn't just put that all back together only to let them go again," Witwer continued, adding that he saw "brilliant, extraordinary, beautiful" animation. "I won't say what it looks like, but I will say this…of the quality of Clone Wars where that bar is set…yes, absolutely, totally."

The end of the series saw the Bad Batch setting off on their own adventure. While Witwer has yet to address it, there is a possibility of a Darth Maul appearance on the show, and a cameo from the character would certainly be welcomed by the fans.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch is set for release on Disney+ in 2021.
