Ryan Reynolds Reacts to Green Lantern Series Casting Finn Wittrock

In case you missed it, Finn Wittrock has been cast as Guy Gardner in HBO Max's upcoming Green Lantern series. Not surprisingly, one person who didn't miss the news was Ryan Reynolds, who had an awesome reaction to the casting.

On Friday, it was announced that Wittrock will be leading the DC Extended Universe series which is a completely different project from Green Lantern Corps. It didn't take long before Reynolds found out about the casting and decided to share the news in his Instagram stories.

"It's like I planned it," Reynolds wrote. It's a cheeky reaction to the casting considering that he has always poked fun at his own Green Lantern movie. Nevertheless, it looks like Reynolds approves of Wittrock playing the new Lantern.

Not much is known about the Green Lantern series. However, it is believed to be an anthology series that will focus on several different Lanterns.

Reynolds might not be returning as Hal Jordan anytime soon but he's definitely a busy man. He is expected to return as Wade Wilson in Deadpool 3 and there's a possibility he could be reunited with X-Men Origins: Wolverine co-star Hugh Jackman. However, it's important to point out that Jackman has not yet been officially cast in the sequel so it's best to take this with a grain of salt.

The Green Lantern series has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
