Have you ever wondered what life might be like for a non-playable character in a video game? The new trailer for Free Guy will show you through Ryan Reynolds' ambitious NPC who just wants to be the hero for a change.
The trailer opens with a look into the action-packed world of a video game where Reynolds' character Guy who works as a bank teller. He has a mundane routine that is suddenly interrupted when he decides to act out against a robber. From there, things go crazy awesome.
Guy soon discovers that he's part of a video game that resembles Grand Theft Auto and Fortnite and comes across a player who helps him go about his new mission: to be the good guy. No, wait, scrap that. He wants to be the great guy.
The synopsis for Free Guy reads as follows:
The film also stars Jodie Comer as Guy's accomplice, Joe Keery as one of the programmers of the game, and Taika Waititi as a game publisher who looks and sounds like Taika Waititi. Free Guy is scheduled for release on July 3, 2020.
