Ryan Reynolds Celebrates Deadpool 2’s Early Release Date With New Set Photo

Deadpool 2 just got an earlier release date, and Fox's Merc with a Mouth star decided to celebrate by showing off a new photo from the set of the highly anticipated comic book movie.

Word came out yesterday that Fox moved up the Deadpool sequel release date by two weeks, dropping the June 1st premiere and setting the film up for a May 18 debut. Taking to Twitter, Reynolds decided to share a new photo of Deadpool's swords, giving fans a closer look at the Golden Girls-inspired weapons, Bea and Arthur.

Wade Wilson made it very clear to audiences that he had a big, big crush on The Golden Girls Bea Arthur (Dorothy) in Fox's first Deadpool film, and the actor has decided to give fans a look at Bea's swords.


Captioning the photo with the words "May 18 #MaximumEffort," Reynolds shows off the swords to celebrate Deadpool 2's earlier release date.
