Ryan Reynolds and Jodie Comer Feature in Total Film Covers for Free Guy

While we won't be seeing Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool anytime soon, he's set to star in this fun film called Free Guy, where he plays an NPC that decides to get out of his written program. The movie is set to come out this December, and we have some new images of Reynolds and co-star Jodie Comer courtesy of Total Film magazine.

The movie actually looks like a lot of fun and will come from director Shawn Levy, the same guy who helped bring us Night at the Museum and the fantastic Stranger Things. The movie also features an impressive cast which includes the likes of Taika Waititi, Joe Keery, and Lil Rel Howery.

Originally set to come out in July, COVID-19 has forced Free Guy to push its release date back to December. While some are hopeful that cinemas can be open by July, it's still very possible that people will still be wary of gathering in a public area in fear of starting a second outbreak. I guess by December, things will be closer to normal.

A bank teller who discovers he is actually a background player in an open-world video game decides to become the hero of his own story…one he rewrites himself. Now in a world where there are no limits, he is determined to be the guy who saves his world his way…before it is too late.

Free Guy is set to hit theaters on Dec. 11.
