RWBY: Ice Queendom Dub Release Date: When Will it be Dubbed in English?

RWBY: Ice Queendom started airing early with a triple episode that takes us back to the dark fairytale that is the world of the Remnant. But so far, the fantasy anime is only available in Japanese, without the simultaneous English dub fans had originally hoped for. So, when will RWBY: Ice Queendom be dubbed in English?

Will RWBY: Ice Queendom Be Dubbed in English?

RWBY: Ice Queendom will definitely get an English dub.

On a June 22, 2022 post on the official Rooster Teeth website, Geoff Yetter, Head of Licencing and Consumer Products at Rooster Teeth, confirmed that the English dub is currently in production.

Unfortunately, SimulDub plans fell through, so we'll have to wait a bit longer than expected.

Yetter also confirmed how many episodes RWBY: Ice Queendom will have.

The exact release date of the RWBY: Ice Queendom English dub hasn't been announced yet, though we can rest assured that Rooster Teeth is working on it and will make sure to give us a launch as soon as possible.

At this point, it isn't clear whether the first dubbed episode will come out while Ice Queendom is still ongoing but there's hope for that as Rooster Teeth has likely made some progress already.

In his recent post, Yetter mentioned the difficulty of dubbing, and particularly simuldubbing, which he described as "climbing Mount Everest in the dead of winter difficult."

Dubbing, rather than voicing from the beginning, likely presented the team with a new set of challenges.

So far, dubbing in RWBY went the other way around; Rooster Teeth created the original audio in English, and the series was dubbed in Japanese.

Rooster Teeth's love for the RWBY project is evident and we're sure the English dub of Ice Queendom will be great.

When more information about the English dub release date becomes available, we'll update this space with additional information.

RWBY: Ice Queendom English Dub Cast

We expect the English dub cast of RWBY: Ice Queendom to be the same as that of the original RWBY series.

Lindsay Jones and Barbara Dunkelman are expected to reprise their roles as sisters Ruby Rose and Yang Xiao Long, while their teammates, Blake Belladonna and Weiss Schnee will be voiced by Aryn Zech and Kara Eberle respectively.

It will definitely be great to hear the protagonists' familiar voices in something new before the release date of RWBY Volume 9.
