Running Man star Song Ji Hyo revealed the reason why she suddenly cut her hair short.
In November, fans of Running Man— even the cast members and staff — were shocked after Song Ji Hyo debuted an extremely short hair in the show’s 581st episode. Everyone praised her for her unmatched beauty despite changing her hairstyle.
However, she never revealed the story behind it until recently.

Song Ji Hyo Reveals When She Cut Her Hair
Studio Waffle’s YouTube channel recently uploaded a video featuring Song Ji Hyo in which the actress talked about her short hair. Host Kim Yong Jin also asked why she did it all of a sudden and whether she went through a breakup or something similar.
But the Was It Love? actress spoke honestly and said that she cut her hair after having so many drinks on that day.

"When I returned home, I got angry with everything in life all of a sudden. So, I got those scissors that I used to cut a toothpaste and make-up products out, and just started cutting my hair. Let me apologize to my stylists. They didn't do my hair at that time, everyone. Don't say anything bad to them,” she went on.
Song Ji Hyo received compliments from Running Man cast members at that time, with Yoo Jae Suk saying that she became the most handsome among them. Jeon So Min also teased that she became the second Yoon Eun Hye, Kim Jong Kook’s love line in the South Korean variety show, X-Man.
Song Ji Hyo Shares Hilarious Event Recently
Due to curiosity, host Kim Yong Jin asked her whether she has any other drinking habits aside from cutting her hair.
Although she did not respond to it directly, Song Ji Hyo jokingly answered that she recently had an after-work meal and drinks. She then used the restaurant’s restroom and ran away as fast as possible.
When filming Running Man, she passed by a chicken place where she bought meals a few days later. The shop’s owner then teased her if she was not running that day.
Song Ji Hyo was not initially a part of the Running Man cast as she initially appeared as a guest from the second through the fourth episode. She officially became a main member during the show’s seventh episode.
