Everyone has high hopes for the Pokemon games coming to the Nintendo Switch and these rumors might add some fuel to the fire. Keep in mind that these are rumors and not official announcements, so take these with a grain of salt. Still, some speculation is always fun, especially when certain details end up coming true.
A leak from 4Chan supposedly revealed that the two games will be called Pokemon Let's Go! Pikachu and Pokemon Let's Go! Eevee. As the titles suggest, each game gives players either Pikachu or Eevee as a starter Pokemon, similar to Yellow where players were stuck with Pikachu while the rival always had Eevee.
These will supposedly be pseudo-remakes of Pokemon Yellow, with characters Red and Blue playing some sort of role in both games. Also, the Let's Go part of the titles imply some sort of connection to the mobile game Pokemon GO, with the leak stating that catching Pokemon will be similar to GO.
Honestly, these rumors are fairly interesting and should interest older fans who grew out of the series and newer ones who have never played the classic Pokemon games. Emily Rogers, who has gotten Nintendo rumors right and wrong in the past, said that news of the two games will be coming out before the end of May.
Will these rumors end up being true? If Rogers is right, we will find out soon enough.
