Ruby Rose Breaks Silence on Batwoman Exit

Last week saw Ruby Rose's departure from Batwoman, which was a total shock for fans of the show. Her exit was ahead of the series' second season, with the role of Kate Kane to be recast. There are various speculations about Rose's exit from the Arrowverse show, now, the actress herself has addressed the matter.

Taking to Instagram, Rose shared a fan-made video of some of her moments on the show, along with a caption that shows her hanging up the cowl and expressing her gratitude to the fans. "Thank you everyone for coming on this journey," Rose writes. "If I mentioned everyone it would be 1000 tags.. but Thank you to the cast, crew, producers and studio."

The actor pointed out that her departure "wasn't an easy decision." Though she did not reveal the exact reason, she wrote, "those who know, know." Rose didn't mention anyone involved as well, and while she wants to stay silent about her choice, she wanted to share a message for those who have supported her.

"I didn't want to not acknowledge everyone involved and how big this was for TV and for our community," she added. "I have stayed silent because that's my choice for now but know I adore you all." For now, it's unclear who'll be taking on the role for the second season of Batwoman. The show is set to resume in January of next year, and there have already been a few actors who are up for it, including Stephanie Beatriz, Wallis Day, and Jade Tailor.

It seems like there could be more than meets the eye in terms of her exit, but her decision to stay quiet about the details is understandable.

Batwoman is expected to return in January of 2021.
