Brooklyn Nine-Nine Star Wants to be the Next Batwoman

The CW's Batwoman has just lost its main star, and the search is on for someone to be the new Kate Kane. What's interesting is, one Brooklyn Nine-Nine star looks to be interested in taking on the role.

Right after the news dropped that Ruby Rose had left the show, Stephanie Beatriz had posted this:

Beatriz is best known for playing the part of tough-girl cop Rosa Diaz in Brookyln Nine-Nine, and seems like a good fit to replace someone like Rose. This actually isn't the first superhero role she campaigned for either, as she had also been vocal about wanting to be the MCU's She-Hulk a few months back. She eventually had to back out because she said it would clash with her Brooklyn Nine-Nine schedule.

Personally, I think Diaz should stick to Nine-Nine for now, because it's the more popular show. I don't know how Batwoman managed to get a renewal for a second season, but reception for it has not been great at all. I even saw the trailer and I have to say some of the dialogue is kind of cringe-inducing. But then again, that's just my opinion.

For now, we don't know who will be the next Batwoman for The CW. It's likely the production will try to find someone who was also a member of the LGBTQ community like Rose was, but so far I can't think of anyone else to take the part on.

Catch Batwoman now on The CW.
