There is little doubt that people are already looking forward to the upcoming Ahsoka Tano series. Although it might still be a long wait for the new Star Wars series, fans can still see Rosario Dawson goofing around as the former Jedi in a new video taken from the set of her new show DMZ.
It's no secret that Dawson had always wanted to play Ahsoka in a Star Wars project. The Zombieland: Double Tap actress had actively campaigned to play the live-action version of the character before eventually being cast in The Mandalorian Season 2. And now that she's Ahsoka, Dawson can't stop playing the character even when she's on the set on a completely different project.
Rosario Dawson has shared a new video on her official Instagram account. It features the Clerks III star wielding two tiny lightsabers going up against someone who is wearing a Mandalorian helmet. The little lightsaber fight even features realistic sound effects. Check it out below.
The video was taken on the set of DMZ, which is being executive produced by Ava DuVernay. The new miniseries is based on the dystopian comic book series of the same name by Brian Wood and Riccardo Burchielli and is currently in production.
It's great to know that Rosario Dawson is having fun on the set of DMZ but also a little disappointing for fans who were expecting her to begin filming for Ahsoka this year. On the other hand, there is a possibility that Rosario Dawson will start working on the Star Wars show before the end of the year. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
DMZ is expected to premiere on HBO Max. Likewise, Ahsoka has not yet been given a release date.
