The ticket presales for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story are overwhelming enough that the movie ticket website Fandango is having to make efforts to deal with them, Comic Bookreports. The presales for this tickets through the website began at 12:01 A.M. EST today. In that short amount of time, the sales were so numerous Fandango had to take measures lest their servers be ovewhelmed.

Fandango created a virtual "wait room" that made users essentially "wait in line" to get their tickets. MovieTickets.com was apparently similarly overwhelmed. The more obscure website AtomTickets.com is reaping the rewards of Fandango's brief fall, as people have reported using that website while Fandango is down.

This all certainly bodes well for the sucess of the Star Wars prequel. It's estimated that it will be the second-biggest December opening of all time. The first biggest opening was already a Star Wars movie, namely The Force Awakens. Returns are expected to be in the range of $150 million.
