Rick And Morty Writer Says Season 4 Might Not Air Till Late 2019

There might be a lot of Rick and Morty fans keeping their eyes peeled for a new season filled with insane adventures between the cynical mad scientist Rick and the worrisome Morty, however, it seems like everyone will just have to wait a bit longer.

Speaking with Detroit Cast about his work on Rick and Morty, series writer Ryan Ridley revealed that season 4 of the Adult Swim cartoon might not be ready until late 2019.

"They really take their time," Ridley explained. "I never understood why everybody — all parties, Dan [Harmon], Justin [Roiland], and Adult Swim — didn't get their shit together, and make the show fast; I just don't get it. It doesn't make any sense to me. I'm sure they all have their reasons.

According to the writer, none of the other writers have even started working on the story for the fourth season of Rick and Morty just yet.

"Get your shit together, you guys," Ridley joked. "Get it all together, and put it in a backpack."

While fans might be a bit upset that Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon are dillydallying, it's important to remember that good things take time. Guess we'll all just have to hunker down and wait.
