The Guardians Of The Galaxy Almost Got Turned Into A Magical High School Girl Comic Series

It might sound strange, but in an alternate universe, the Guardians of the Galaxy might have actually been turned into magical high school girls.

Marvel editor Jordan White recently took to Twitter for a short Question and Answer segment with fans and during his discussion with netizens, Generation X comic book writer Christina Strain let out that she and Jordan had pitched a concept which would have turned the Guardians of the Galaxy into magical girls living out their cutesy high school lives.

According to Strain, if she and White had their way, Star-Lord would have been turned into Star Lady, Rocket would be the "most violent" animal mascot in history, and Drax was going to be a strange magical female version of himself.

It sounds like a terribly strange idea, but an interesting one nonetheless. The Guardians of the Galaxy have been through a lot of changes over the past few years, especially after the release of James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy movies.

For those who aren't familiar with anime or manga, the "magical girl" genre is one filled with cute transformations and the usual school drama. One of the signs that a manga is a "magical girl series" is when girls with magical powers start have colorful and cutesy transformations in almost every chapter or volume of the series.

Though it would have been interesting to see Star-Lord as a highschool girl, we're pretty sure that the pitch wouldn't fly with the guys at Marvel Comics.

The Guardians of the Galaxy are set to appear in Avengers: Infinity War when it premieres on May 4, 2018.
