Adult Swim's Rick and Morty has always been unique when it comes to picking its music, and the show has found surprising collaborations with a handful of artists. What's cool is, the audience for Deadmau5's New Year show was surprised by a Rick and Morty skit during their countdown to 2018.

A lot of musicians have actually had their guest appearances on the show. Flight of the Conchord's Jemaine Clement was the voice behind Morty's friend Fart. Season 3 also had a guest appearance from rapper Logic during the episode Vindicators 3: The Return of Worldender. Rapper Ice-T also had an appearance, but he was voice by co-creator Dan Harmon.
It's really cool how much Justin Roiland gets around, and now I'm starting to get the feeling that Deadmau5 could actually have a Rick and Morty cameo down the line. Too bad we'll have to wait until late 2019 before the show comes back. Knowing how crazy Rick and Morty fans can turn out to be, this might not sit well with the community.
Personally, I'm fine with waiting. Co-creator Dan Harmon is known to take his time with his shows since he wants every episode to come out great. The only hiccup is, we get constant delays as we wait for new seasons of the show to come out.
