Ready Your Heartstrings With the New, Emotional BFG Trailer

Last month’s trailer for The BFG showed us a first look into the huge and spectacular world of the big, friendly giant. Now, with the new trailerfor the movie, we’re getting a closer, more daunting look into the BFG’s world.

However, while the latest trailer shows us a seemingly scarier world of the giants, it can’t be denied that it also tugs a bit more at the heartstrings. The new trailer shows more of the relationship of Sophie and the BFG and gives a glimpse of how their friendship will overcome the challenges of the bullies of the giant world.

It’s also worth noting how the trailer also showcases the fantastic visual imagery that Steven Spielberg uses in the film. The film’s target audience is obviously children, but like any children’s film from Disney as of late, the storyline of The BFG reaches a wider audience, one that adults can relate to as well.

Based on a book of the same title written by Roald Dahl, the legendary writer who created iconic children’s stories such as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and James and the Giant Peach, The BFG takes each viewer back to his/her childhood, filled with doubts and terrifying things, yet also filled with hope and wonderful things.
