Ramy Youssef Hints At Possibility Of Ending Ramy With Season 4

Ramy Season 3 has finally begun after more than two years of waiting, but it looks like the series may end soon. After dropping the entire 10 episodes, co-creator and star himself Ramy Youssef hinted that the show might end with Season 4.

Ramy Season 3 dropped on Friday, September 30. Though the show is yet to be renewed, Youssef seems hopeful that the series will return for Season 4, which may be its final outing.

The Release of Ramy Season 3

Ramy season 3 continued after Ramy (Youssef) tarnished his relationship with Sheikh Ali (Mahershala Ali).

The new season mostly put Ramy on the sidelines, as Youssef took the directorial seat and put the focus on his character’s friends and family instead.

He highlighted the characters of Dena (May Calamawy) and Maysa Hassan (Hiam Abbass). So, as the series shifted its focus, it looked like a major change was about to happen.

So, will it be seen in Ramy Season 4?

The Possible End of the Series

In an interview with Variety, Youssef hinted that Ramy might end with Season 4 while talking about a major scene in the third season that called back to the pilot episode.

“We talked about the socks out there in the cold for like half an hour. I really put myself to the side and was like, “OK, don’t worry that you’re cold. Just: Should the character take off the socks?” he said. “We really are excited about doing one more season, and we felt he wasn’t quite at the socks place yet. He was so overtaken by this moment. We’re excited for what he’s going to step into in what will probably be our last chapter.”

Although there are no words yet about the show’s future, let alone an update about Ramy Season 4 after the third season, Youssef seems optimistic that the show will continue.

Well, the show will not be dubbed as one of the best returning series on TV after being on hiatus for so long for nothing. It has also earned widespread critical acclaim, nominations, and accolades.

With that said, the future may be bright for the Muslim American family, though fans may soon see the end of it.
