Alongside the highly-anticipated number of cameos rumored to appear in the film, one of the character returns that the fans celebrated is Rachel McAdams' reprisal of her role as Stephen Strange's love interest, Christine Palmer.

Gladly, McAdams' role expanded in Multiverse of Madness and she indeed "wasn't just wearing scrubs this time around". Starting as a love interest for Strange, Palmer became heavily involved with the sorcerer's journey to the multiverse due to another variant of her existence in Earth 838, working in the Illuminati headquarters.

Now that so much is unclear about McAdams' Christine Palmer's future in the MCU, fans are wondering whether she will be showing up in more Doctor Strange-related projects. Luckily, it looks like the A-list actress is ready for more.

In an interview with Variety, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness star Rachel McAdams addresses her long-term involvement with Marvel Studios.

When asked if she will appear in more MCU projects in the future, "I mean, it’s a great gig," McAdams responded. "So I wouldn’t be sad to keep going with it. It’s a fun part. And I liked that she’s gone in different directions now. And now that the multiverse is open, you know, anything could happen. The world’s your oyster."

McAdams then revealed what she enjoyed the most about returning as Christine Palmer, saying that she loved the "complicated" relationship between her and Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange.

"Yes, yes. It’s in keeping with their relationship from the first one, which is just complicated. And I think they’ll just love each other forever into every universe, but it’s never easy with them."

Given McAdams' statement, it appears that the critically-acclaimed actress is interested in returning as Christine Palmer in the future of the MCU. Aside from that, putting an acclaimed actress like McAdams in a very less-prominent role clearly wastes the actress' immense potential.

Nevertheless, the Christine Palmer Earth 838 variant arc we witnessed in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness opens up a lot of possibilities for the character. Now that the Palmer from the original MCU universe is out, this Earth 838 Palmer variant will be a more substantial fit for Doctor Strange. Earth 838 Palmer is an intelligent scientist that undoubtedly has extensive knowledge of the multiverse, and knowing how this is the Phase 4's core, she could absolutely be a huge help.

For now, Marvel hasn't yet confirmed anything about Rachel McAdams' contract. But it would definitely be wise to keep the actress to the franchise, especially after McAdams admits that he would love to be back.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is now showing in theaters worldwide.
