Queendom confirmed its return this year with a new surprise twist.
The Mnet reality competition show has been welcoming girl groups who compete against each other to determine the real No. 1 among them. MAMAMOO and WJSN won the first two seasons, and the show will soon select its third winner.

Queendom Confirms Return With New Season Queendom: Puzzle
On Monday, Mnet (via Korea JoongAng Daily) confirmed that its new installment, Queendom: Puzzle, would premiere in June.
According to the cable network, the upcoming show will present idols from different groups who deserve to be part of a new project girl group. It will also show girl group members and solo artists create sub-units “like a puzzle” as they compete against one another until the final episode.

The Queendom press release added that the show would feature girl group members and soloists who would try never-before-seen concepts in the K-pop industry. It has since released a teaser video that shows the jumbled letters “IURP WZHQWB HLJKW WR VHYHQ.” Fans have been speculating that those might be a hint about the participants’ identities.
“The artists participating in the program will be revealed in May, which we are sure everyone will be surprised by,” Mnet went on.
Queendom: Puzzle Creators Promise To Shock Viewers
Upon the release of the teaser video, the show’s production team shared an update regarding its plans. It also revealed to fans that it would drop a shocking update in May regarding the artist lineup.
“[The show] will be a time to rediscover the individualities and charms of each pre-existing girl group member. Viewers will be able to find entertainment in the novel combinations [of different girl group members],” the team continued.
Queendom first season included AOA, Oh My Girl, (G)I-DLE, MAMAMOO, Park Bom, and Lovelyz.
Meanwhile, LOONA, VIVIZ, Hyolyn, Brave Girls, Kep1er, and WJSN joined the season.
