Queen Elizabeth Approves Trusted Aid To Update Royal Book Amid Prince Harry's Memoir

Angela Kelly is the Queen's royal dresser and trusted aid. Her Majesty recently gave her a go signal to update her book The Other Side of the Coin with new chapters to reflect on her recent experiences, including her COVID-19 and lockdown experience and the last month she had with Prince Philip at Windsor Castle.

"The Queen personally gave Angela her blessing to share their unparalleled bond with the world and Angela is the first serving member of the Royal Household to be given this extraordinary permission," publisher HarperCollins announced, Express reported.

The 95-year-old royal spent the lockdown in the safety of Windsor Castle within the "HMS Bubble," which many believed referred to the reduced household of key members of staff. Kelly was among the members of staff, who isolated with the Queen for periods of time.

Kelly will share the story of the royal bubble and the "length Angela and Royal Household went to, to ensure the safety of our Monarch."

"We wanted to commemorate the extraordinary occasion of The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with this beautiful new edition, as well as bring the content of the book right up to date following the unprecedented events of the past two years," she added.

What To Expect In The Memoir Of Queen Elizabeth II's Grandson Prince Harry?

Prince Harry announced his memoir in July 2021. According to Meghan Markle's husband, it will be "wholly truthful." In his publication, he will share for the very first time "the definitive account of the experiences, adventures, losses, and life lessons that have helped shape him."

"I'm writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become," Prince Harry wrote in a statement per CNN. "I'm deeply grateful for the opportunity to share what I've learned over the course of my life so far and excited for people to read a firsthand account of my life that's accurate and wholly truthful."

The book will be released via Penguin Random House globally late this year. There were concerns that the Duke of Sussex's book might worsen his relationship with the royal family. However, Princess Diana's former voice coach Stewart Pearce doesn't think it will be a "burn book."

"I feel the book will actually be candid, but it won't be excoriating. You know it won't rip the skin off anybody or burn anybody," Pearce said.
