“Harry and Meghan begged for an official photo of the queen with Lillibet when the two finally met. The request was rejected by the palace,” the source said.

Prince Harry Released A Statement Following Queen Elizabeth’s Death

In his lengthy statement after the queen’s passing, Prince Harry revealed that one of the things that he will remember his grandmother by are the moments and hugs she shared with Archie and Lilibet.

“Granny, while this final parting brings us great sadness, I am forever grateful for all of our first meetings — from my earliest childhood memories with you, to meeting you for the first time as my commander-in-chief, to the first moment you met my darling wife and hugged your beloved great-grandchildren. I cherish these times shared with you, and the many other special moments in between. You are already sorely missed,” Prince Harry said.

Unfortunately, the two youngsters will not be able to make any more memories with their great-grandmother after she passed away on Sept. 8 at the age of 96.
