Queen Elizabeth reportedly became the mother figure to both Prince William and Prince Harry following the untimely death of their mother, Princess Diana, in 1997. Her Majesty was said to be training William as he would soon become the king while she maintains a close and loving relationship with Harry.

However, things reportedly changed when Prince Harry decided to step back from his senior royal roles and move away from the other members of the royal family in January 2020. Queen Elizabeth and Prince William were allegedly brokenhearted after learning about the infamous “Megxit.”

Queen Elizabeth’s Divorce Warning To Prince William And Prince Harry Revealed

Queen Elizabeth reportedly warned Prince William and Prince Harry after the numerous divorces hit the royal family. The claim, which was first reported in Sunday Express in 2006, came after the Duke of Cambridge was confirmed to be dating his now-wife, Kate Middleton, and the Duke of Sussex was still romantically involved with Chelsy Davy.

An unnamed Buckingham Palace insider stated:

"The Queen is the head of the Church and so from a point of principle, she is opposed to royal divorces. However, she has witnessed the divorces not just of her sister Princess Margaret, but also those of her three eldest children. She now feels, to put it bluntly, that enough is enough. She does not want to name names, but she is adamant that there are going to be no further royal divorces during her reign."

"The concept of divorce goes against the Queen's whole upbringing, which is about duty and about soldiering on in the face of adversity. She inherited a lot of her views from her mother, who was scarred by King Edward and Wallis Simpson scandal. Both Princes William and Harry have been in no doubt that when they marry, it's for keeps. It's felt that Harry would greatly benefit from several more years as a bachelor."

During a conversation with Zoe Forsey on the Pod Save The Queen podcast, Daily Mirror’s royal editor Russell Myers stated:

“It was a bombshell. This is absolutely extraordinary. I don’t think anyone saw this coming. There had been some rumours flying around recently that something was going to happen. But I definitely didn’t think it was imminent and I certainly didn’t think that the announcement would be made on Accession Day.”

The royal expert went on to say that:

“It is a big, big issue that has really, really split opinion. You go right back to when Charles and Camilla got married in 2005. The Palace was heavily briefing that she would only ever be known as Princess Consort. She wouldn’t be Queen.”

Both Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles were, reportedly, pleased and happy with Queen Elizabeth’s message for them. Prince William and Prince Harry, for their part, were allegedly informed about the “Queen Camilla” message beforehand.
