A fan-favorite Hybrid is officially back, but it’s not the one that fans may have expected. Chainsaw Man Chapter 143 has finally been released, and it revealed that one of the most notable Hybrids from Part 1 is alive.
In previous chapters, it was revealed that the Devil Hybrids are alive and well, with many of them now part of the Chainsaw Man Church.
While fans were hoping this meant Reze was still alive, Fujimoto instead brought back another Hybrid.

Chainsaw Man Chapter 143 Reveals Quanxi Is Still Alive
The Crossbow Devil Hybrid Quanxi is back as she made an epic return in Chainsaw Man Chapter 143. She specifically entered the scene as the Chainsaw Man Church Hybrids were about to attack.
In the last chapter, these Hybrids were gearing up to attack people in a theme park to force Denji to transform into Chainsaw Man.
Before they can start slaughtering innocent folks though, they were quickly cut down.
It wasn’t clear at first who managed to take the Hybrids down, but it was soon revealed that Quanxi was the one to do it. She didn’t even need her Hybrid form to do so.
Quanxi’s appearance is a bit different now as she sports a black Public Safety suit, though she still wields her trusty swords. Her eyepatch is also a bit different as it’s now made of lace.
After taking down the Hybrids, it’s revealed that Quanxi is now under the employ of Public Safety, though it’s not clear yet why she’s part of it.

Chainsaw Man Fan Artists Come Alive After Quanxi’s Return
As Quanxi is a fan favorite, Chainsaw Man fan artists went into overdrive as they quickly shared artwork of the fearsome Devil Hunter in her new suit.
Along with the numerous fanart, lots of fans also celebrated her return and noted how impressive her Part 2 debut was.
Fans are also hoping to see an interaction between Quanxi and Kishibe. Many believe that Kishibe is the reason Quanxi is now working with Public Safety.
This also drove more speculation about Reze being alive. After all, with most of the Hybrids being alive, it makes sense that Reze will also return.
There’s no indication that this is the case though. At least, fans won’t have to wait long for more on the Hybrids as Chainsaw Man will continue in Chapter 144 with no breaks.
