Prominent LGBTQ Character Rumored for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is looking like one of the more ambitious MCU films out there, seemingly pulling a Crisis on Infinite Earths and introducing a multiverse. It's intriguing to see this movie get plenty of hype based on the number of characters that could be debuting, especially since Kevin Feige said we would be seeing plenty of unexpected heroes.

Thanks to some casting news from The Illuminerdi, it looks like fan-favorite character Miss America will be debuting in the MCU via Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The news should get fans talking since we were promised LGBTQ characters a long time ago and America Chavez, her real name, is one of Marvel's best heroes from that community.

Fans should take this with a grain of salt since we're still waiting for official news from Marvel themselves. While most fans are expecting to see Clea, Wiccan, or more magic-themed heroes that fit the movie's theme, seeing America Chavez would be a nice surprise. Plus, she'd be a great help if the Scarlet Witch loses control, assuming she appears after WandaVision.

Miss America has been a favorite since her debut in Vengeance, who later became a prominent member of the Young Avengers. The character also played a major role during the 616 version of The Ultimates, where she teamed up with powerful heroes like Captain Marvel, Blue Marvel, and Black Panther. Here's hoping that they get her right in the MCU and she helps form this universe's version of Young Avengers.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be coming out on May 7, 2021.
