According to astrologer Penny Thornton, Princess Diana almost backed out of her wedding to King Charles after the latter told her that he didn’t really love her.
“One of the most shocking things that Diana told me was that the night before the wedding Charles told her that he didn’t love her. I think Charles didn’t want to go to the wedding on a false premise. He wanted to square it with her and it was devastating for Diana. She didn’t want to go through with the wedding at that point; she thought about not attending the wedding,” she said (via People).

King Charles Wrote Letters Saying That He And Princess Diana Were Incompatible?
King Charles also reportedly thought that he and Princess Diana were incompatible. And he wrote this down in the letters that were published in The Prince of Wales.
“How awful incompatibility is, and how dreadfully destructive it can be for the players in this extraordinary drama. It has all the ingredients of a Greek tragedy … I never thought it would end up like this,” he wrote (via Cheat Sheet).
Princess Diana’s Former Chief Of Staff Claims King Charles’ Courtiers Made The Late Royal Look Unwell
Following their royal wedding, King Charles’ courtiers reportedly executed a campaign to make Princess Diana look unwell. Princess Diana’s former chief of staff, Patrick Jephson, said that the courtiers also waged war against the late royal.
“This is not just some casual gossip; it was a systematic campaign. Okay, it was a long time ago, but … the man they were supporting is now our king. And these things should not be buried. Princess Diana and King Charles separated in 1992, and after just four years, Queen Elizabeth urged them to finalize their divorce. Princess Diana died one year later.
