The royal family will see some changes within the monarchy after Queen Elizabeth is gone and Prince Charles ascends the throne. Even though this hasn’t happened, royal experts are already convinced that Prince William will inherit Prince Charles’ title as Prince of Wales when the time comes.
Prince William Will Inherit Prince Of Wales Title From Prince Charles
While speaking with Express, Dr. Robert Morris from University College London’s Constitution Unit said that even though Prince William will most definitely inherit the Prince of Wales titles, this won’t happen automatically.
After all, this decision is entirely up to Prince Charles and not Prince William.
“Yes, but that’s not automatic. But we expect that Prince Charles would make that change very quickly. Of course, he’s not a minor as Charles had been. Charles was made Prince of Wales in 1969 when he reached his maturity. I imagine that will all be done pretty quickly,” Morris said.
Earlier this week, Prince William and Kate Middleton visited several key spots in Wales. Reports claimed that this is the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s way of boosting their public presence in the country.
Prince William Could Inherit The Duchy Of Cornwall
Other than the Prince of Wales title, Prince William will also inherit the Duchy of Cornwall from Prince Charles after he ascends the throne. The dad of two will then take on the Duchy of Lancaster.
“There are all sorts of money involved in all this because Charles would give up the Duchy of Cornwall and that would pass to William. But Charles would take an exchange as it were. He would take on the Duchy of Lancaster revenues, which are part of the Privy Purse. It’s the resource from which the Queen pays other members of the Royal Family who are active on royal duties. Both sources of revenue bring in about £20million a year each,” Morris explained.
Prince William, Kate Middleton Visit Wales
Elsewhere, Prince William also made headlines after his reaction to his wife being broody at all times was revealed.
During last month’s visit to the Copenhagen Infant Mental Health Project, Middleton shared that being around babies got her feeling broody. But the Duchess of Cambridge also said that her husband worries every time she encounters infants.
“William always worries about me meeting under-1-year-olds. I come home saying, ‘Let’s have another one,’” Middleton said.

Prince William, Kate Middleton’s Tradition With Their Kids Revealed

While in Wales, the couple revealed that their children usually ask them where they are going. And in order for them to picture it in their heads, Prince William and Middleton always show them their location on the map.
“They are always asking us where we are going. And we show them where we are on the map,” Prince William said.
