Prince William didn’t have the opportunity to meet Prince Harry and Meghan Markle when the couple traveled to the United Kingdom ahead of the Invictus Games.
After all, the Duke of Cambridge and his entire family were on vacation when the Sussexes visited Prince Charles and Queen Elizabeth. Even though Prince William and Prince Harry could reunite at the queen’s Platinum Jubilee in June, royal experts are convinced that there wouldn’t be any improvement in their relationship.
Prince Harry is gearing to release his first memoir, and royal author Tina Brown believes that he would attack certain members of the royal family, including Prince William. If this is the case, there’s no hope for the once close brothers to reconcile anytime soon.
Prince William Hasn’t Forgiven Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Following Their Attacks On Kate Middleton
The royal author also said that the Duke of Cambridge hasn’t gotten over how Prince Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle, tried to discredit Kate Middleton.
“[Prince] William was disgusted about Meghan’s attack on Kate because she can’t answer back. But that’s nothing compared to how furious he’s going to be when this book comes out. Because Harry’s not going to go after the Queen, she’s sacrosanct. And he probably won’t go after Kate, whom he’s very fond of. But he will go after Charles and Camilla and maybe William. And that’s so unhelpful to them all at this particular moment; for William, that’s the big cloud in their relationship right now,” Brown said (via Express).
However, it is important to note that Brown’s claims were made before Prince Harry and Markle set foot in the United Kingdom. During last week’s visit, Prince Harry had the opportunity to talk to Prince Charles briefly. And the dad of two reportedly suggested that the heir to the throne mediate between him and Prince William.

Prince Harry Wants To Reconcile With Prince William Ahead Of Platinum Jubilee
While speaking with Entertainment Tonight, royal author Katie Nicholl detailed the conversation between Prince Charles and Prince Harry.
“Harry, I’m told, suggested perhaps that they might get some sort of a mediator in on sort of these talks, to make some progress. It was something that he had suggested to his father. He’s made it very clear that he wants to sort things out. He wants things to be improved,” she said.
Since Prince Harry and Markle have plans to return to Britain in June for the queen’s Platinum Jubilee, his wish is for his relationship with his father and older brother to be better by then.
“I’m hearing that he wants to be over here for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June. I think, possibly, that suggestion of a mediator is probably less the relationship with his father because his father is open to wanting to sort things out. I would imagine it’s more to do with his brother. I would imagine that that idea of wanting a mediator is probably more to do with him and William. His relationship, really, is at a bit of a crossroads. We have been told for many months now that they’re not close at the moment. It has been very, very difficult,” Nicholl said.
Prince William Did Not Avoid Prince Harry During His Trip To Britain
The royal author also explained that Prince William not meeting Prince Harry wasn’t done intentionally. It just so happened that he was on vacation with his family, and this was his and Middleton’s only free time.
Coincidentally, the dates of the Cambridge family’s vacation fell on the exact dates of Prince Harry and Markle’s return to Britain. So, the brothers didn’t have a chance to reunite.
“I don’t think it was deliberately staged like that, personally, and I think William and Kate have a limited period of holiday. Over Easter, they wanted to take the children skiing. I think what wasn’t clear was that once Harry’s trip was confirmed and it was all going ahead, William wasn’t going to change his holiday plans to come back or cut short his holiday in order to see his brother,” Nicholl said.
