King Charles is determined to have Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at his coronation ceremony. However, the latter will reportedly make some demands during the negotiations, according to a royal expert.

Prince Harry Can't Negotiate When It Comes To King Charles' Coronation?

Prince Harry's biographer Angela Levin weighed in on the possibility of the Sussexes attending King Charles' coronation. According to the Harry: A Biography of a Prince author, Prince Harry would want things to be done his way.

"[Negotiating] to give him good seats right at the front, I think that's terrible. He doesn't deserve it," Levin said, Express reported.

"The important thing is that Harry can't negotiate, he doesn't want to give. He's not somebody who will say: 'Look, I'm sorry, let's work together on this."

She added, "He now feels more confident that he's got the knack for actually dealing with the Royal Family and he wants to win. I think he won't say yes or no right up to the last minute."

Why King Charles Want Prince Harry And Meghan Markle At His Coronation?

King Charles reportedly turned to the Archbishop of Canterbury for help to negotiate with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex so that they would attend his coronation. His Majesty wanted Justin Welby to allegedly convince Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to be at the Westminster Abbey ceremony on May 6, which is also their son Archie's 4th birthday.

Prince William was reportedly not on board with his father's decision to have the Sussex around at the coronation following the drama they caused in their Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan and his brother's memoir Spare. However, the King reportedly believed their absence would cause more drama than their presence.

British journalist and royal commentator Jonathan Sacerdoti predicted that there will be a temporary truce between the Sussexes and the royal family for the sake of King Charles' coronation.

I suspect that there are some efforts going on to try and make some form of reconciliation … I think because they don't want [family tensions] to upstage what's going on on that very important day," he told Us Weekly.

"Whether or not that's possible is one thing, and whether or not it's lasting is another thing. Even if they do manage to make some form of peace, [it] might be temporary. I think it's going to be extremely difficult for them as a family — and more broadly, for the nation and for the Institution — to forgive what's happened."
