Prince Harry announced his departure from the royal family in 2020. Two long years have already passed but some royal sources are still convinced that his move to the United States isn’t permanent. In fact, there are allegations that the Duke of Sussexes misses his family back home so it’s only a matter of time before he announces his decision to return to the royal family.
Prince Harry May Return To The Royal Fold To Continue His Mom’s Legacy
During a recent interview, Princess Diana’s former protection officer Ken Wharfe shared his thoughts about Prince Harry. He also said that there’s a possibility for the Duke of Sussex to return to Britain and his royal duties sometime in the future.
Wharfe also compared Prince William and Prince Harry to each other and said that the latter is more similar to their late mother, Princess Diana.
“William and Harry are very much their mother’s boys in so many ways, even though there are differences between them. Although William has perhaps reverted to a world away from the limelight when it comes to his children, he does try to engage and bring a more modernized approach. But with Harry, we can see Diana’s legacy more clearly - and when he returns into the Royal fold, which I think he will do, I believe that will be even clearer,” he said (via Express).

Prince Harry Revealed That He Misses His Family Back Home
Earlier this month, Prince Harry admitted that he misses his family back home. He also said that working at home with two young children has been difficult. However, this doesn’t mean that he wants to return to the royal fold for good.
“Yes I think especially over the last two years, everybody has missed their family and that ability to get home and see them, of course. Look I mean for me, at the moment, I'm here focused on these guys and these families and giving everything and giving 120 percent to them. Giving them an event of a lifetime is my focus here and when I leave here when I go back, my focus is my family, who I miss massively, they are two little people,” he said while at the Invictus Games (via Mirror UK).
Prince Harry Was In A Rush To Return Home After Prince Philip’s Funeral
But in Tom Bower’s book, Revenge: Meghan, Harry, and the War Between the Windsors, the author claimed that when the Duke of Sussex set foot in the United Kingdom to attend Prince Philip’s funeral service, what the royal family didn’t know was he was in a rush to return home to his wife and kids.
After all, Prince Harry reportedly knew that he betrayed the royal family with his appearance in the Apple TV+ documentary, The Me You Can’t See.
“Few realized that Harry wanted to return to California as fast as possible,” Bower wrote (via Express).
