Prince Harry made headlines recently after he seemingly confirmed that he is planning to return to the U.K. to join the upcoming revelries in honor of Queen Elizabeth Platinum Jubilee. The husband of Meghan Markle is currently seeking a judicial review after expressing his security concerns when his family steps foot in Britain.

The Sussexes have their own security team, but they argued that it does not sufficiently compare to the police protection Prince Harry and Meghan Markle once received as working members of the royal family. Some royal experts suggested that the current battle of Queen Elizabeth’s grandson over a lack of police protection is just an “Excuse” to not return to Britain.

However, new reports claimed that Prince Harry is “desperate” to make his comeback to the U.K.as he is very much eager to give his daughter, Lilibet, a royal christening. Keep on reading to know more details.

Prince Harry Wants To Give Lilibet A Royal Christening?

Former royal protection officer Ken Wharfe told Palace Confidential on MailPlus that Prince Harry is “going to make a real effort to come back” to the United Kingdom. Daily Mail Diary Editor Richard Eden then suggested that the husband of Meghan Markle is still keen to have his daughter, Lilibet, receive a royal christening.

True enough, a legal representative for Prince Harry wants to bring Lilibet and Archie to visit Britain. However, the Sussex family could not return to the U.K. because it is “too dangerous” for them.

Richard Edden said of Prince Harry’s security row:

"What was very interesting is that the legal letter talked about his children. He was worried that there wouldn't be protection for his children, which makes me think he might come back on his own, because he may not be given the protection he needs for his children. For Prince Philip's memorial, he may come on his own. He did that when it was the unveiling of Princess Diana's statue. Baby Lilibet is seven months old now and she hasn't been christened yet. Royal babies would normally be christened within three months but from what I've heard, Harry has made it clear he wants a royal christening for her, the same as Archie had, and so when is that going to happen?"

Ken Wharfe then responded to Richard Eden:

"The fact he has gone down this legal route to try and secure protection suggests to me that he is desperate and there is a real reason for him to come to the UK. He has two children that the Queen hasn't effectively seen yet. The very fact he has made this noise with the British Government to secure protection suggests to me that he is going to make a real effort to come back here. I think we will see him return this year, for the Platinum Jubilee."

In July 2021, reports about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle wanting Lilibet to be christened at Windsor in front of the Queen surfaced online. At the time, an unnamed royal source told Daily Mail:

"Harry told people that they want to have Lili christened at Windsor, just like her brother. They are happy to wait until circumstances allow."

Most, if not all, royal fans can recall that Archie, Lilibet’s brother, was christened at St George’s Chapel in Windsor in 2019. In Christmas 2021, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle released their very first photograph featuring Lilibet on their holiday card.

A statement from the legal representative for Prince Harry released last week read:

“The UK will always be Prince Harry’s home and a country he wants his wife and children to be safe in. With the lack of police protection, comes too great a personal risk. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex personally fund a private security team for their family, yet that security cannot replicate the necessary police protection needed while in the UK. In the absence of such protection, Prince Harry and his family are unable to return to his home. Prince Harry inherited a security risk at birth, for life. He remains sixth in line to the throne, served two tours of combat duty in Afghanistan, and in recent years his family has been subjected to well-documented neo-Nazi and extremist threats. While his role within the Institution has changed, his profile as a member of the Royal Family has not. Nor has the threat to him and his family.”

Prince Harry has yet to comment on the reports claiming that he is “desperate” to give Lilibet a royal christening just like Archie. So, devoted followers of Meghan Markle’s better half should take all these unverified claims until everything is proven true and correct.
